Detail Itinerary

 

Day 1: Srinagar arrival
Arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Deluxe Houseboat / Hotel. Evening enjoy shikararide tour which will cover Charchinar, Floating Gardens, Canals etc. Dinner & Overnight Srinagar.

Day 2: Srinagar - Local Sightseeing

After breakfast take the half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting Places around the Lake. Dinner & Overnight at Srinagar.

 

Day 3 : Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (56 Km)
After Breakfast drive to Gulmarg, enjoy on the way colorful flower, full day excursion trip to Gulmarg it is one of the most beautiful hill station in this world and also called meadows of flower. It has world highest golf course (World Highest) and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing etc. Enjoy guided sightseeing of Gulmarg also enjoy Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilan. Return back to Srinagar. Overnight Srinagar.

 

Day 4 : Srinagar – Pahalgam – Srinagar (94 km)
After Breakfast drive to Pahalgam, today enjoy full day excursion trip to Pahalgam (2440 Meters above Sea level). En-route visit Saffron fields, Anantnag Sulphur Springs. Drive through the green pine forest and along the Lidder River. After sightseeing return back to Srinagar. overnight stay in Houseboat / Hotel


Day 5 : Srinagar - Kargil (205 Kms)
Leave in the morning and drive to Kargil by car/coach road passes through the panoramic village reach Sonmarg (2740 Mtrs) After Sonmarg most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (The second coldest inhibited place in the world) we stop here for tea and passport check. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 : Kargil- Leh (235 Kms)
Leave in the morning full day drive to Leh today we have to ascend three passes this day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldest monastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar river following into Indus. Finally we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7 : Leh (RoofTop Of The World)
Morning free for personal activities and at Leisure. Afternoon half day tour of Phyang, Spituk and Shanker Gompa. Overnight at Hotel.


Day 8 : Leh - Khardong La Pass - Leh (78 Kms, 0800 Hrs.)

Drive for Khardongla Pass, which is the World's highest motorable road ranging at 18380 feet. Return to Leh in the afternoon, and enjoy a Hot Lunch at the hotel. After Lunch one is free to explore the local market at one's disposal. Overnight Hotel.

Day 9 : In Leh (Visit Stok Palace + Leh Palace + Shnati Stupa & Leh Market)

After breakfast visit Stok palace which houses a fine private museum. There is a superb collection of thangkhas, said to be the best in the world. In the afternoon visit Leh, a fascinating labyrinth of winding streets and quaint bazaars. The main street is open and airy, with rows of shops on either side. On either side of the market are seen a long line of Ladakhi women in traditional dress and colourful jewelry of coral and turquoise, seated behind enormous baskets, selling vegetables. The spectacular eight-storey Leh Palace looming above, overlooking the town, was built in the 16th century, about the same time as the Potala in Lhasa which it resembles. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 : Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh

After an early breakfast we Leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the "INDO CHINA BORDER". One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure and stroll near the lake and overnight stay at the Camp / Guest house.

Day 11 : Leh Airport for Departure (0600 hrs)

Transfer to the airport and fly back to Delhi with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
