Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Leh

On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative at the airport and and Drop to the Hotel. Complete day for the acclimatization & rest as Leh is at an altitude of 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02: Leh - Sham Valley (Magnetic Hill, Sangam )

After breakfast, visit to 'Sham Valley', which is beautifully nestled around the Srinagar - Leh highway.
• Start off the sightseeing by paying homage to the martyrs of the Indo-Pak War at the Hall of Fame.
• Visit the Spituk Gompa which also has a museum on the premises housing ancient masks, weapons and Thangkas (Buddhist Paintings).
• Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and know the story behind the construction of this Gurudwara.
• Magnetic Hill, a small stretch of the road that defies the law of gravity.
• Visit Indus Sangam Viewpoint to watch the confluence of Zanskar and Indus Rivers.
• After back to city and visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace
After sightseeing return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.

Day 03 : Leh - Khardungla - Nubra - Diskit Monastery - Hunder (Apporx 5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).
Visit to Diskit Monastery after drive to Hunder. On your arrival in Hunder check in the camp.
After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy walk on the banks of Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.

Diskit Monastery

Diskit Monastery also known as Diskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India.
Diskit monastery is situated in the Nubra valley of Ladakh. Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Leh Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century, and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river. The prime attraction of the Diskit monastery is 100 foot high Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the holy Dalai Lama. From the top of the Gompa, where the divine statue is settled, one can have a panoramic view of the Nubra valley.

 

Day 04 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder (Approx 2 - 3 hrs)
After early Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Turtuk- the Land of Baltis, which was under control of Pakistan before 1971 War between the two nations. You may like to visit 16 century Mosque and Minaret, Royal house of Yabgo dynasty, Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Historic polo ground. Overnight stay at Homestay /Camp.

Day 05 : Hunder - Pangong (Apporx 5 hrs)

After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Pangong Lake.
Pangong Lake is Approximately 50% of the length of the overall lake lies within Tibet in China, 40% in Ladakh, India and the remaining 10% is disputed and is a de-facto buffer zone between India and China. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers almost 700 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

Pangong Lake Highlights

The Pangong Lake is also famous for being a colour-changing lake as it changes its colours from blue to green and red. Being filled with saline water, the Pangong Lake is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world, with an elevation of 4350 metres. With a total length of 134 KM, most of the part of the lake lies in China and some of it lies in Tibet.
Since the lake has saline water, the availability of micro-vegetation is really low which has resulted in less to no marine life. The camps and tents set up around the lake offer a wide variety of facilities and amenities, hence you can easily find stay options besides the lake.
The lake got famous with the movie “3 Idiots”, where Kareena Kapoor as “Pia” was seen riding a yellow scooter. The same scooter is still present on the lakeside and one can click pictures with it. Overnight stay in Camp / Cottages

Day 06 : Pangong Lake - Hemis / Thiksey - Leh (Approx 6 hrs)
After breakfast check out Camp and drive to Leh via Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Thiksay Monastery, Shey Monastery, 3Idiot School and Shindhu River Ghat,  after sightseeing check in Hotel and overnight in hotel.

Day 07 : Leh Departure

After having your breakfast in the morning, complete the check out formalities at the hotel.
Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onwards journey.
